While I love the winter, summer is one of the best seasons to have fun and be productive. During the summer, you can work towards your future during the day and live your personal life out at night, then wake up the next day and do it all over again. Since summer has officially begun, everyone should be working hard at the goals you set. Did you want to lose weight? Did you want to make a certain amount of money for the summer? Did you want to take summer courses?
I know my DC ladies are already on their way to turning these goals into achievements, so now its time to start thinking of new goals. This is a great time to begin this process because you now know what you really want. Maybe you don’t want to return home next summer and you would rather travel; maybe you heard about an great internship that you would love to do, but you found out about it to late this year. This is the time to begin realizing what you really want to do.
As you complete more and more years of college, you get closer to graduation, which means you are closer to being an adult. Do not spend your time doing anything that does not enhance you. Whether it’s a friendship or a position, make every step a step in the right direction. The ultimate goal that you should start realizing is what you want to do for a career. Even though we’re all in college, that does not mean we automatically have our lives planned out. For example, if you know that you aspire to be in the music industry, that’s where you should focus on interning and volunteering. Sometimes this also means moving to a bigger city with bigger possibilities.
Set goals for yourself. Surpass an obstacle that’s in your way. Follow your dreams and listen to your heart. Having a plan is a great way to clearly set out where you are and how to get to where you want to be. Everyone’s plan for the summer should be to dig deep for their goals.
